At the beginning, everything started with this wander. A pinery, during an afternoon summer in the French east-south.The  brown skin of Pines bodies give off, an incredible sluggish droplets amount, whose shines through the sunlight.

Curiosity.
Different interrogations on this material have been done. Historical and chemicals researches were the first step of my work on this rough material. The aspects, components  and complexity of this element, pushed me up to workout on five products purposes. Everyone is a result based on my rosin exploration, using each a singular property. From those identity observations, the project aim (except the possibilities explorations), have been managing thinking around sustainability and eco friendly ways : non-contaminating our natural and social environments. The processes developed to produce the different objects give a valorized status by uncontrolled results ways : imperfections as a unique material identity and aesthetic dimension.

1 - Standard carafe for drinking water

using the waterproofing qualities of the rosin.
It is made with unglazed white ceramic and an inside rosin layer.

This carafe is using the popular image that french have about. Every "bistro" or popular restaurant used to re-use empties wine's bottles to serve the free drinking water on tables. This carafe design is a french popular restaurant standard. Waterproofing with rosin means x12 energy saved. You do not need to burn 1200°C a second time the ceramic, rosin is enought liquid from 85°C.

2 - Fruits bay

from all surfaces experimentations.
It is made of different rosin's mix, composite natural material.

Designed imagining a lake, with a wooden pier, you will arrange your fruits on as a self composition.

3 - Blast lighting

based on rosin light reflection capacities.

Mix of rosin and natural fibers, such wool, wood and coffee waste. This rosin composite content also natural charcoal, witch produce smooth silver's reflects on the lower part of the lamp.

4 - Electric wall socket

Made recycling all my experiences waste.

installed inside our homes, this standard means no change, it has to be static. Using a complex composite of rosin waste, we are not only producing a simple standard, rather recycling all the unconsumed material in a cradle to cradle cycle. Moreover, the rosin get color changes with passing time, offering a "static evolution" of our sockets, behaving like Wabi-Sabi japanese philosophy whose expose an objet as nicer and better day after day.

5 - Cheese cover and tray

Using anti-bacterial and fungicidal particularities.

What place in our contemporaries life for old fashioned cheese preservation ? Nowadays we used to think fridge only. This purpose use the anti-bacterial substance contained inside the rosin. By this way, your traditional cheese can stay longer in the maturity stage you like ever, without definitely stopped the cheese process to get old. Those covers can be used with three different wooden trays, each one with unique characteristics (Cedar : strong perfumed. recommended for persons who wants their cheese flavored and longer preserved / Cherry : Aesthetic tray for smooth and delicate taste / Hornbeam : neutral tray. it do not carry any additional smells).
